::Don't bother: They basically strip search you to get in because it's a Fed bldg and they have a 70's era metal detector.

::Great way to spend some time in Anchorage. Exhibits from all areas of the state. They have a nice theater where they play some great movies on the earthquake, railroad history, mining history, animals of Denali, and my favorite: the bears of the Katmai peninsula. Best of all, it's FREE! Since it's in the federal building you do have to go through a metal detector.
