HELLO My Name Is
::Took a class recently, wasn't impressed. Instructor and wife are..odd. Most students are nice but training is impractical. The students teach each other while he walks around and talks on his phone. Don't know what his "old class" was like but I question his credibility and would never go back or recommend training here to anyone looking to fight FOR REAL. They call themselves the best and most aggressive but they don't compete with other schools so they wouldn't know.

::I've been with the class for over 20 years. And you really can't make an assessment for one or 2 classes - need to make it to at least Orange belt. [Belt order is white, yellow, orange, green, blue - then 3 levels of Brown before attaining 1st black belt and higher] The classes are about 3 hours for $20.00. Sunday and Wednesday nights. And it isn't just about being a skilled fighter, they want to see you succeed in the outside world as well and be a well rounded individual. You will also learn various weapon defenses, ladies are shown rape situations, mimicry of outside situations, and what I like to call "survival excursions" - where they put your in class training to the test outside the dojo (sort of a combination of "Survivor" & "Real World" which they were doing way before reality TV was a thing) plus a host of other things. Ages range teen's and up, with the majority the class being over 30. You would figure the younger generation would have the stamina to keep up with us older folks, but without the proper training and conditioning it is hard to do and it seems a lot of people are looking for the easy quick fix. But not here. You got to condition yourself, mentally, physically and spiritually. It is hard work, commitment and determination. Do you have at what it takes to become the best that you can be?
