::We used aging at home and I would not recommend them, the care givers they employ are untrustworthy and will steal from your loved ones. We discovered many missing pieces of jewelry once my loved one passed, there will be a special place in hell for these people

::I was introduced to Aging at Home by an Employee from Winthrop Hospital. My first meeting with a representative was very comforting and we moved forward with signing a contract with them. The first companion we had turned out to be totally a nut and was mean to my Mom and lied to my brother and sister and myself about many things that went on in the home clearly she was not vetted properly. Once she new we were on to her lies she abruptly left leaving us with no coverage for our Mom.We tried to call the agency and there was no answering service at night. The next morning we spoke to them and they provided us with another women who obviously they didn't do their home work to vetted her as well.I got a call in the middle of the night that she had to leave right away that her husband was injured at work and she had to leave right now.Again we tried to call the agency who claimed we would never be with out an companion they would always make sure someone would be there.that night we had a family member stay and had to take off the next day from work. When we spoke to the agency again and complained they told us we refused to pay for the aid which was an absolute lie and to this day she was paid for an extra day that we never got a refund because she claimed she was coming back the following week. At this point I spoke to the administrator Dora coyle and at that point she told me maybe Aging at Home wasn't for us and we should get another agency. In the world of Health care the last thing you want for a loved ones care is to get kicked to the curb by a company who because of their bad employees there was no concern at all that we were with out any coverage for our ailing Mom.I have documented my concerns with Winthrop Hospital and would recommend people to look elsewhere for care for your loved ones.
