::This is my 2nd time hiring Afford A Floor. They also did a project for a friend through my referral. They are hands down the best at what they do! From meeting and going over the details to communicating each and every phase of the job. My 1st project was a sale of our townhouse and they did an excellent job preparing our house to sell. They came through on every milestone promised and delivered a beautiful finished floor that earned us several offers. A few months later I called Frank and asked him to look at our new house ( several miles away from their location) He not only showed up on time but offered many samples of the product he swore by, Rubio Monocoat. Frank had his crew rip up carpeting in our bedrooms and lay down new flooring, sanded and applied the Rubio to match the flooring on the 1st floor ( Frank convinced us not to purchase new flooring for the 1st floor and assured us we would love the finished product which we did). It saved us thousands of dollars and we could not be happier. We were nervous at 1st reading all the reviews about using Rubio on Maplewood flooring but Frank and his team, along with the confidence in themselves, convinced us to go with Rubio over Maple and the end result was better than any engineered product we considered. Frank met me on several occasions ( once @ 8am in the snow) to ease my concerns. He also sent back a member of his crew whenever I felt an area required a touch up. ( basically appeasing my anal personality for perfection) I am not one to over hype and am not getting paid, nor am I a family member but I feel honest, hard working and reliable, companies like Afford A Floor deserve credit when it is earned. These guys are the real deal !!

::I hired Afford-A-Floor for a whole-home flooring project 3 years ago. This included refinished hardwood, installing hardwood, and carpeting throughout the whole house. I was also recommended an engineered wood product for my kitchen which we agreed to. The work was fine. 3 years later, the engineered wood product is chipped, scratched and ugly. We also needed carpet for our basement, so I reached out to Afford-A-Floor for a quote on the carpet and to inquire about resolution for the kitchen flooring. Afford-A-Floor's quote on the carpet was $400 higher than the second quote we received. However, before I ever accepted the quote, there was a miscommunication between the owner and office manager and they ordered the carpet. Not wanting them to have to eat the cost, in a gesture of good faith I agreed to the install with hopes that my kitchen issue would be resolved. 3 months later, there is still no resolution. I keep being told "oh, we are waiting to hear from the rep". You better believe they were getting in touch with me when they wanted to collect payment on the basement carpet, but they refuse to stand behind their work in my kitchen. I am unable to recommend them to anyone.

::We just had our bedroom floors replaced, sanded, stained and finished by Frank Mele and his company, Afford-A-Floor. Our flooring job included removing all the furniture from the bedroom, removing old carpet and padding, ripping up the old hardwood, cutting the old flooring flush up to a built-in cabinet system, disposal and delivery fees, and properly repairing an un-level floor situation in a bumped out area of our bedroom. I asked Frank to match the wood, stain and finish to the existing hardwood flooring in the rest of my house. We were also replacing old baseboard radiators with European high-efficiency radiators, which added another layer of complexity to the overall job. Out of all the flooring contractors I interviewed, Frank was confident about how to repair the bumped out area to make it level with the rest of the room. He was responsive to my questions, and his estimate was fair for the work which needed to be done. He promptly supplied references, his insurance certificate, and a detailed written estimate when requested. Once we had our contract together, we got a start date, and a day-by-day schedule for when the work would be done. Frank showed up daily to check in while his crew was on the job. More importantly, Frank was willing to coordinate his work with my plumber, a finish contractor recommended by Frank to remove old trims, and re-install new trims once the flooring was completed. Day by day, the timing and scheduling went along without any problems. Surprisingly, there was very little dust throughout the house because the crew was careful to properly seal off the area. Frank’s crew was hard-working and polite. His supervisor, Rafael, was excellent. The end result is that Frank Mele and Afford-A-Floor left us with a beautiful new bedroom floor, which seamlessly matches the wood flooring in the rest of the house.
