::DO NOT RENT FROM THIS PLACE!!! WORST CAR RENTAL EXPERIENCE EVER!!! If you are local resident, they ask you $1000 for deposit. They also force you to buy car insurance. They gave me a very old car and the tank is 3/4 full. The guy who checks the cars said it's OK to return the car with 3/4 tank. But I got a bill for this missing 1/4 tank after 1 month. They also charge a lot for EZpass (daily ezpass fee and the fee to rent an ezpass).

::DO NOT RENT HERE! If you're reading this and have already rented, do yourself a favor and cancel, save yourself the trouble. Ace is by far the worst rental experience I've ever had. Not only are they deceptive and underhanded with their business in my rental experience, but based on other reviews I've seen it seems that this is standard practice for them. On top of the outrageous and outlandish charges that were so cavalierly placed on my bill, the staff themselves were horrendous. The attendant I spoke to was extremely combative and rude when I came to obvious concerns I had regarding charges that breached the contacts I had been given. She seemed to take all questions a personal attack and responded only with sarcasm and attitude. There was no attempt at customer service, there was no empathy, there was nothing. It seems that Ace feels it's in their right to take liberties at any given time to alter your contract, unknown to you, in any way that benefits them. I can't stress enough how important it is to avoid this company. They will find a way to squeeze whatever they can out of contracts and charges they pull out of thin air. I'm going to go out of my way to ensure that Ace does not receive ANY more business from anyone that I'm able to warn.

::Damage and scratches to every spot on car, so you have do pre forensic photos to protect yourself. Car smelled on the inside and their attitude was tough, wait 2 hours for another. They literally don't care if there's a shuttle to pick up or drop off and will likely miss my flight. This is maybe my first online review of any merchant, ever. Do yourself a favor and stay far away. Oh, they hold much bigger deposits than most and charge $109 per day on top of all other charges if the car is damaged during repairs. Will not accept insurance card, will make you call your insurance company and talk to an agent. Now it's official, I missed my flight bc of their poor shuttle. Just a disaster.

::Worst rental in New York. I ll suggest -5 rating. Don't waste your money here.. it's better if they sell all there cars for scrab... They will say in phone nice and neat cars but they give old and damaged junk cars. I changed 3 cars in same day but I m unhappy with that car.. they have all old cars and unclean cars.. my old 150k car is better than there cars.. there is no negative rating here otherwise I will be the first person to give -5 don't neglect these reviews.. they are true...

::Insurance coverages are a scam. Unhappy with my rental from LGA last week. When I got to the counter, the clerk needed proof of insurance. This is not a standard request from a rental company, and would not have been a problem if the rental instructions mentioned the requirement - I could have brought this from home. A bit difficult to get when you're a 3 hour plane ride from home. They resolve this by encouraging you to buy the add-on coverages, though they will contact your insurance company and verify coverage verbally. Of course this adds 5 minutes to the transaction, and if you can't get through then you are forced to buy the coverage or forego the car. I would not recommend anyone use ACE Rent A Car, as it seems this omission is designed to sell add-on insurance coverage. The car experience was fine (nice car, no problems), but I wouldn't rent from them again.
