::If you're looking at hiring Ed Lane with Accurate Foundation & Repair in Texas, I would think twice before you get bait and switched by them. We recently purchased a home in Wichita Falls and after receiving our home inspection report, it was recommended that we have our foundation inspected as well. Our real estate agent referred us to Ed Lane with Accurate Foundation Repair, they have an office in Wichita Falls Texas and are based out of the Dallas / Fort Worth Texas area. After initially being referred to Accurate Foundation, we felt they were charging a reasonable amount for the inspection and for the work they estimated needed to be completed. Ed estimated that the repair work should be no more than $1,000 on his written estimate and verbally said "The repair work should cost anywhere from $700 to $1,000". This made us feel comfortable moving forward and purchase the house, knowing that the foundation work was well within our budget and believing we were in good hands. Upon closing on the purchase (7 months ago), we hired a real estate manager to help us coordinate all of the repair work, including the foundation repair that Ed Lane with Accurate Foundation quoted us. After following up no less than a dozen times between myself, our real estate management company and my previous agent, we have not had any success getting Ed Lane or Accurate Foundation Repair to do the repair work. In fact, we're now being told by by both Ed and the Accurate Foundation HQ, that the job is too small for them to handle. We've been pushed off every time we call, with Ed saying he is still looking to find someone who can help but that he cannot do it himself because it's too small. Meantime, we have a plumbing issue that we were told can't be repaired until the foundation is repaired first, which is causing a strong smell from the stagnant water and upsetting our renters (understandably). I don't like writing disparaging reviews and only believe it's needed when a company does not respond and seems to not want to resolve the issue, this is definitely one of those cases. I believe that Ed Land happily charged us an inspection fee and wrote down a fictitious number to make us comfortable buying the home, which we now are having a very hard time with due to the deception. Now he will not hold up to his side of the deal and basically bait and switched us. After originally being referred to Ed Lane, we really expected much better service! I would not recommend Ed Lane or Accurate Foundation & Repair to anyone without a guarantee that they will do the work!

::After getting several estimates from different companies, and being more confused than we were when we started, we decided to hire a structural engineer. He gave us names of five different companies that he was confident in their abilities to do the work. Only one companies' estimate matched the engineer's recommendation. So we hired that company. The job went as planned. The crew was courteous and cleaned up so well we couldn't tell they had been here. We would recommend Accurate Foundation Repair to anyone!

::I called the week of April 22 (2013) to request an estimate. I was assigned to a technician and he would contact me at a later time to schedule the appointment. the technician called and scheduled a visit for May 1, 2013. The day of the visit, the technician called me to re-schedule because he had a "scheduling problem" and he would not be able to make it that day. He told me he would call me again May 3, 2013 to give me the new date,he did not call. I called their office on May 13, 2013 to inquire about my request. they took the message and referred me back to the technician. A few minutes later the technician left me a voice mail saying that he is not sure about the date because he did not have anything scheduled in my area for this particular week. he said that it would probably be May 16 or 17 but he was not sure because he does not know where he is going until the night before the scheduled visits. So it has been three weeks and no visit. The only reason I called this guys is because their radio ad asks you to "get the best price and then call Accurate Foundation Repair" It did not work for me. The people handling the phones did not help at all. If you want to reach the manager is through the BBB complaint system, at that point they will listen to you.Thankfully there are many other qualified competitors like Abacus or Olshan that do care about getting your business.

::Accurate Foundation Repair was able to be at a property I was hoping to buy on very short notice (~1 day). Their representative was very kind and competent. They gave me an honest assessment--that no work was needed. Such honesty was refreshing in an industry that is known for recommending repairs that may not actually be needed. I know who I'll call in the future if foundation problems do arise.
