A dear friend from Florida flew out for the Gem and Mineral show. We decided to stay at the AC and are so happy we did. This hotel is absolutely BEAUTIFUL! You can see the European influences throughout. The croissants are nothing short of AMAZING! This location is perfect - so close to everything and don't miss out on the rooftop pool. The staff is very friendly and professional. My friend is looking forward to coming out next year and insists that we stay at the AC.

I can sum up this hotel in two words: noise and smell. Do not underestimate the many online reviews mentioning loud music until 2:00 am. We were warned at check in that we would be able to hear the music in our room from the open air club next door. Unfortunately, warning someone at check in is too late to help. They had no other room options for us. This noise warning should be a banner on their website so you are aware prior to booking a room. About 50% of the rooms face this club so your odds of hearing the music all night are fairly good and the place is not playing soft music. After two nights of our stay, they were able to move us away from the club. I don't know if this was intentional but they moved us above the fitness room so we could listen to clanking weights during early morning workouts. I have to mention the smell in the lobby. Every time you enter this hotel lobby you are doused in a 10/10 odor of Polo cologne mixed with some sort of detergent. It is an overwhelming and terrible smell which starts outside by the valet and peaks as you enter the lobby. They may be going for chic and cool but they achieved nauseating and humorous. The hotel location is within walking distance to many great places but I will find somewhere else to stay next time.

FYI - No benefits for Marriott gold/platinum (no lounge, no free breakfast). Biggest issue is that this hotel is not kid-friendly. We were unapologetically told at breakfast that β€œthere are no high chairs.” (even though they only cost $25 bucks.) they do have cribs but it took and hour to get one (even though we requested it in advance). My wife thought the bed was uncomfortable, too. Pool was closed (why? This is a new hotel) but does have nice views. Gym looked nice. Definitely going for a modern ambience but missed on a number of key details.

Very happy with our experience here. Our room was spotless ( in fact we wondered if anyone had stayed in it ) the staff were all accommodating and friendly. I had some concerns as previous reviews were not so flattering. Half a block to the downtown nightlife which was fun, did not once hear any noise in our room. We were on the 8th floor. New modern very cool. My ONLY complaints were that I felt the room could have used a picture with some color in it. Our room was very monochromatic which on one hand is soothing but a splash of color somewhere might have been a nice relief, and no bath robes provided. We would stay here again!

We had a wonderful overnight stay at the AC! The lobby is modern and it is comfortable to sit and work down there. Our room was also great! It was modern and clean, and all staff we spoke to we're friendly and kind. We love that it's within walking distance of so many places. We walked to Cartel Coffee and Johnny Gibson's Market. There are little fridges in the room so we could easily store a few groceries. It's also close to the downtown tram system, which we took over to the Co-op (or you could take over to Presta Coffee at Augustin San Mercado, among other places). We look forward to our next stay here!
