  By far the finest nursery and shop at the terminal market. Everything at this store from their gorgeous holiday displays to their produce and plants are well laid out in a neat manner in a spacious setting. This makes a huge difference when shopping for a Christmas tree. Other tree sellers opt to maximize the amount of trees they display on their smaller lots. In theory, this sounds wonderful as there will be a massive selection. In reality, you end up working your way through a densely packed lot picking a tree that is less than ideal. At Visconti's the additional spaces means they only put out well shaped trees and you can view your tree from a reasonable distance from 360 degrees. You will pay slightly more here for a tree, on the order of ten to fifteen dollars than competing sellers at the market but it's a trivial amount considering that others in swanky parts of town are paying hundreds more for trees equally as nice that likely originated from this market. They also sell great pumpkins for Halloween, varying from minature cultivars to the massive. All priced at a fraction of what you will pay anywhere else. While it's not exactly the pumpkin patch or an Oregon tree lot this place is never short on the holiday spirit I've yet to be disappointed in the decades that I have shopped here.
