::NOT RECOMMENDED: Due to caliper bolts not being tightened after replacing brake pads and rotors, detachment of caliper bolt occurred 3 days later. This happened while on major highway and we had to be towed to another mechanic where they confirmed that the front left upper caliper bolt was missing and the lower caliper bolt was loose. This wasn’t just a mistake, this was due to carelessness. When talked to Mark, the owner of A & S Auto Service, INC., about the incident he thought it was only reasonable to reimburse the 57 dollars it costed another mechanic to replace and TIGHTEN bolts from their poor work. I insisted that I should also be reimburse full labor cost from their carelessness and compensated for the damage done to rotor due to the loose caliper. His attitude regarding the situation was nonchalant, repeating that it wasn’t that serious and drain plugs and screws are left loose all the time, no harm done. I would not trust this mechanic nor do I believe he should have a license to run a business given the attitude of a careless mistake that could have resulted in a fatality. He refunded me $150 (half labor+ other mechanic cost) from nearly $600 bill to replace brake pads and rotors.
