  816 is an amazing hotel with amenities you wouldn’t expect for the price. First of all, this hotel is in a great location around plenty of awesome bars restaurants in walking distance. Rooms are spacious and newly remodeled with walk-in showers and larger refrigerators. Front desk is well staff and worked quickly to get through a large number of early check-ins and helped us with a special room need. I also enjoyed the KC themed rooms and historical art murals of the area. Things that set this hotel apart for me are the free drink tickets they give you for the already reasonably priced bar, the insanely delicious complimentary breakfast (complete with omelet station), the free parking and free shuttle service. I dare you to find a hotel this nice with so many great things going for it so reasonably priced. Team Froggy Fresh had a great stay and will definitely be back! 10/10

  I had a wonderful two night stay at the 816 hotel! As a frequent traveler, it is great to have a Hotel that knows what they are doing. My room was clean and comfortable. Everything was professional from the front desk to the bar to the rooms. And the breakfast was a welcome relief come Monday morning. They know how to do hospitality right.

  What a gem! Great property in a great part of town. Rooms are all unique (mine had guitars and awesome pics of historic Kansas City) and very clean. Staff was attentive and got me checked in quick! Walking distance to lots of food options. Thanks, will be back!

  This was a great place to stay. Thermostat for the heating and air. Updated rooms with pictures and info about Kansas city and its history. There's a small bar on site and you get a free drink for each guest over 21. Breakfast in the morning included a waffle station and a manned omelette station, made to order. Very impressive overall.

  Loved my stay at the 816! I stay here any time I go to KC. It's close to anything fun you want to do while in town. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was great too, which goes a long way when you are traveling. The rooms were clean and I would recommend this place to anyone coming through Kansas City.
