Just one of those 7-Elevens that you can at least get your fill and not get harassed hopefully as I have felt a little bewildered during the shopping experience here and at others! But go here you will find useful stuff like it was your own store, that's another story yeah.

I have visited 7-Eleven over the decades primarily because I developed an unhealthy addiction to a few of their food products. Back in the early 1980s, it was the Truck-Stopper Sandwich, which was basically a microwaveable sweaty meat Salisbury Steak sandwich on a spongy bun with dog food gravy. So yummy and comforting, and a sure-fire way to "open the bomb bay doors." Of course, this delicious item eventually disappeared from their menu. As did its contemporary, the Red Hot Beef and Bean Burrito, an award-winning dough-tube of spicy upchuck that would have you painting the inside of the toilet bowl like a champ. In the last decade I fell in love with the Big 'Un, a microwaveable double patty chili cheeseburger which is probably the most simultaneously disgusting and delicious thing I have ever eaten. All of a sudden, the 7-Eleven here in Long Beach stopped stocking their shelves with the Big 'Un, and instead started trying to sell these obviously homemade sandwiches wrapped in wax paper and rife with body hair and grit. The four year old boy behind the counter tried to explain to me in broken English that the sudden appearance of homemade PB & J sandwiches, bologna on a roll, and Underwood Deviled Ham spread on stale hot dog buns was a new "store policy." When I asked if there was any way they could order the Big 'Un product, he shouted that they were not really a 7-Eleven anymore, but that they did not bother to change the sign because the owner believes that the world is going to end very soon. Then the kid told me that if I didn't leave the store he was going to call "secret agents" to give me "big rough pat-down" on my body.

I bought a 6 pack of beer and there was a kid outside raising money for youth sports so after the register was closed I was given 4.15 dollars change. I had a silver dollar so I asked the man behind the register to take the 4 and the silver dollar because I wanted to give the kid a 5 dollar bill. He told me no that I had to buy something. As I had just bought something I asked if he could as it was for the kid. he told me" what do you think I am stupid? I will not". I asked him for his name as I told him that his attitude was getting hostile and not good customer service. I asked him to speak to his manager and guess what? He said he was the manager. He refused and than told me to leave the store. I took my phone out and said I am going to take your picture and forward that to your hq because I am sure they will appreciate knowing who I am talking to. He proceeded to get on his phone and say he was calling the police. So I walked out with his picture on my phone. I gave the kid the 4 dollars and the silver dollar and wished him luck as I have 3 boys myself. He must have been 9 10 years old but he shook my hand and wished me a good day. 7-11 you do not need people like that working for you and you should be ashamed at your employee's actions.
