  WARNING DON"T USE YOUR DEBIT/CREDIT CARD HERE - The Baristas are THIEVES!! For the last 2 morning, they have overcharged my card by a few dollars. They've been taking the liberty to add their own gratuity. I didn't have that problem ever until new employees started working there, also it had been a few months since I had come here for morning coffee so maybe they figured me a good target that wasn't going to return , or saw my county badge and figured I could afford to be ripped off. They conveniently adding exactly $1.40 and $3.00 overcharge from what the total on the screen showed?!?. The barista even verbally said the total, but at the same time, it's my fault I didn't get a receipt. Either avoid this place, use cash only, and if using a card, insist upon a receipt.

  I must strongly disagree with Amanda's review. I don't know where she went to school, but I never had school lunches that rivaled the cafe's food. Their grilled sandwiches are my personal favorite and they can't seem to keep enough soup in the pot to satisfy the demand. As far as the women who work there, they are one of the bright spots of my day. They are kind to everyone, including Seattle's homeless seeking shelter from the elements. The cafe is located in the King County Admin building, so anyone is welcome to sit in the first floor lobby whether they patronize the cafe or not. They also keep the facility clean. As a licensed food service establishment they are subject to regular inspection. I can't help but wonder what Amanda's kitchen looks like.

  Place is dirty and the girls that work there are nasty. I would rather eat school lunch then get my food from here.
