::I could not imagine anyone not liking the current manager who I know is new. They are striving to be better than it was before and I have only encountered friendly people who work here currently. 2 years ago was a whole different story! I am glad to see this company taking the steps to better what was not so great at this location. I love everything about this gym currently!

::The new bald manager is the worst manager that 24/7 has ever had. Rude and thinks that he wont be fired one day and replaced. The organisation is failing due to managers like this. They need to fire him asap and hire someone who knows how to communicate.

::24 Hour Fitness is awful. Rude and unprofessional front desk staff, Uncaring and absentee managers both local and regional managers at this Bayshore, NY location. I’ve been a member of 24 Hour Fitness aka Ballys Fitness over 15 years. I recently came into 24 Hour Fitness to pay my membership dues and to work out. This girl front desk staff employee who wore her hair in an Afro style ( describing because she wasn’t wearing a name badge and refused to provide her name when asked) was in a personal conversation with a coworker I asked for help she rolled her eyes at me and spoke to me in a rude, and disrespectful manner. I asked for a manager and to my amazement there was no manager there on staff. The next day I got a call from the regional manager who immediately took the side of the rude front desk customer service rep he never apologized and had no compassion nor concern for how I was treated poorly. I then called the 24 Hour Fitness 800 number and complained to Corporate. They’re just as bad. The hold time is 30 minutes and when you speak to a rep to make a complaint they have to get permission via email to transfer you to the resolution team which is another 30 minutes hold time. Nothing was resolved to my satisfaction. 24 Hour Fitness doesn’t care about it’s members particularly those like myself who were grandfathered in from Ballys, in which you pay a much lower rate than newer members. 24 Hour Fitness is so dishonest. When they took over Ballys I received a letter stating my dues and annual fee will remain the same and I will still have access to all locations nation wide. However, they reduced my access to some local gyms and restricted my access from 24 Hour Fitness locations in Manhattan. In addition every year my membership dues increase with no facility improvements what so ever. I did some research on 24 Hour Fitness and they are in trouble as they have closed many locations throughout the Tri state area. They also have a lot of bad reviews on several locations regarding Rude Front Desk Customer Service Employees. I think the closing of some locations has to do with poor treatment as former members are leaving and going to better gyms who value members, respect them and offer more amenities. Like Golds Gym, New York sports club, Blink etc. In any case I am finished with 24 Hour Misfits once and for all.
