::Absolutely, hands-down, the best 4x4 shop in Tucson. Owner Karl is a Toyota guy with one of the largest collections of Ford Broncos in Southern Arizona. His mechanics Marco (a Chevy guy) and Grant are true professionals. They know their 4x4s. We arrived in a motorhome towing a Samurai with a bad transmission. Once the re-built transmission was delivered from Petroworks in CA, they promptly installed it with all the right parts, made the changes necessary to complete the install and found a crack in the front differential they welded up with no charge. Karl kept us informed throughout the entire process so there were no surprises. Superb customer service - prompt, efficient, fair price and excellent work. As out-of-towners, we couldn’t ask for better. They are the best! Bob and I would recommend 1st Rock 4x4 to anyone visiting Tucson with a 4x4. Thanks 1st Rock 4x4! You rock...

Had some work done to my car recently the owner Karl was extremely helpful and knowledgeable diagnosing the problem and even pointed me in the right direction to help me get a good deal on the parts I needed. I literally paid hundreds of dollars less than what one of the "big name" auto repair shops quoted me. Highly recommend!!!

::I had the best worst day of my life because of 1st Rock. While on my way to work the front wheel of my truck feel off due to a snapped bolt and a broken ball joint. Luckily Karl was driving behind me. He pulled over told me his shop was up the street and that he could take care of it. Without having another option I took a chance and was more than happy with the outcome. Karl as well as Grant and Marco are honest, resourceful, competent and professional. They work hard to get you back on the road without gouging your wallet. DO NOT let appearance of the front of his shop fool you. You're in good hands here.
