::I've been going to this place on and off for several years because of convenience. I have spent a decent amount of money getting gel manicures and pedicures for years; however, on many occasions I've come in expecting to be seen in the order that I have arrived. Let me be clear that is not the case in many instances customers that came after me were seen before me (after already waiting 45 min plus or over an hour) and when brought to the owner's attention he would say I would be next instead of correcting the mistake. And they were people who came in after me as well. So, not only are you skipping me, but others as well. Wouldn't correcting the mistake be the ideal solution to this problem?? Instead of saying I'll be next and then speaking in your native language to your staff about the injustice you just served to your customer. Meanwhile, the staff comments about the situation in their native language and stares at you in your face with a smile like it's a joke and the customer shouldn't be bothered by this??? Because of convenience ....I tolerated this unprofessional treatment for years. The atmosphere is to be desired.. It's not the cleanest or organized business you come across. The owner has been in business for several years and hasn't invested much in the appearance of his salon other than the pedicure chairs. There's no privacy when waxing eyebrows and the sink area to wash your hands isn't the most sanitary. The brush to scrub your hands should be in a sterilizing solution to avoid any contamination. I never used the brush! During my last visit I witnessed a worker giving a pedicure to one of the customers and the pedestal they use to prop the feet up while scrubbing it fell into the water that the customer had her feet in. The staff member took the pedestal out of the water without scrubbing it or washing it down and placed it on the floor. Meanwhile, a few minutes later another staff member used the same pedestal for another customer not realizing what happened prior to him using it. Honestly, majority of these family owned salons including this one don't meet up with OSHA's guidelines and are putting our health in danger. During my last visit after complaining about why three people who came in after me was seen before me?.. And the owner again said your next. At this time I felt degraded I felt like my existence in this salon and the years I came to this salon was not valued. I felt the owner vindictively set out to have people go ahead of me because I was defending myself and aired my grievances and proclaimed that this would be my LAST visit to the salon. After waiting for nearly two hours I was finally seen by the owner who took out his revenge on my pinky. He used the electric filer and filed my nail so thin that my pinky started to bleed. He said that I could return back when my pinky wasn't so RAW to finish THAT nail. He has always been rough with the electric file before, but yesterday 3/2/18 was the icing on the cake. As an owner/nail technician how do you not know how far to go when filing someone's nailbed? Do you not put yourself in your customer's place and have some form of sensitivity???? Afterwards, to see if he was remorseful for his actions or have a conscience....I asked him how much? THINKING he would reduce the price because of the LONG WAIT and because he purposely BRUISED my pinky, BUT, in true form he charged me $25 for a gel manicure. Yesterday's experience permanently stamped my decision to never return to this salon. This is a new year (2018) and no more. I could sue him in small claims court for my pinkie, because I have PICTURES....but I'm pretty sure KARMA will come to bite him eventually! That's the best revenge at times than monetary gain! P.S. I don't know if anyone ever experienced a nail technician filing their nailbed so thin like he did, but let me tell you it HURTS! Now I have to allow it to heal which will take several weeks and months for it grow out a healthy nail again. Warning: Proceed with caution and nail work is inconsistent!

::I have visited this establishment previously and had minor hiccups that I ignored, but today was the worse and I will not visit or refer anyone to them. I was not greeted when I entered, even though everyone looked up- but I figured everyone was just busy. I sat down next to two other clients waiting to receive services. One technician looked up and asked each of us a few minutes later what we needed and took the next young lady. Afterwards, two additional females walked in and had a seat. Another technician looked up and asked what they were there for. They both replied a manicure...the same thing the other lady and myself were there for. They completely overlooked myself and another woman of color when we clearly were there first waiting patiently. This was a Thursday morning, not a Saturday with a packed house where it could be an admissible mistake. Without saying a word, the other lady and myself walked out. I will not spend my money on poor service with a lack of professionalism. It may be a coincidence that we were both black, but I just did not like the way it appeared.
