  First time here at Zayds kid salon and was meet with nothing but warm welcoming smiles, Marcia was kind and super professional and did an Amazing job with my daughter who is autistic..thank you and we'll be back:)

  Had been to this place once for braids and had a good experience. So I decided to give it another try. Why did I do that???? The stylist were rude and disrespectful. They made salty comments about “washing my hair” and having to “straighten it “ like those weren’t services they offered. The stylist talked unprofessionally in front of clients and even made questionable comments about other customers mental state referring to them as “slow”. Just one day after getting my hair done, I had to re- straighten. High prices with poor execution. Save your money and your time and go some where else.

  I went in to get my hair straightened on yesterday and it poofed within a few hours. I went back this morning HIGHLY UPSET! But instead of feeding off my energy the manager and stylist worked with me and gave me a style I liked ten times better! I now have a new salon to go to and am comfortable with going in and say “just freestyle” Swat is AMAZING. It’s worth a try!

  My experience at this establishment was simply disappointing. I stopped in to ask about braids and was advised that I would need to come back in a month because my hair was not long enough for braids. I was really shocked because I had actually gone to a different shop, somewhat in the same area and was informed that my current lenght would qualify for freestyle braids. After I was advised I would have to allow more growth by Shawna, she presented me with her card and told me to come back in a month. I was disappointed because I felt she didn't take any time to discuss my options or any effort in obtaining a new client. She half looked at my head and basically gave me a card to return when there wasn't a need, being that I was fully aware of my hair lenght qualification. Sad to say I booked an appointment the next day at the previously shop and I'm fully satisfied with my freestyle braids. I walked into Zayd's wanting to support a black owned business and excited because I thought I would be in the care of those who could relate to my hair type being that I'm African American and was quickly disappointed by the lack of attention or concern. With this encounter I will not return nor recommend Shawna for any services.
