  Great local park with pretty, well-marked trails. Print a map and take your kids. Nothing challenging and it's a great, safe place for kids to explore nature.

  An incredible place to walk and to catch a good breath. Close to White Plains, besides it contains the history of the Kensico Dam (1971).

  Well worth the trip for a nice outdoors hike. The trails are nice and fairly well maintained. Some of the markers can get confusing at times. But if your just out enjoying the day its fun to just wander around the whole site. The three times I visited there were very few other people there, they were all on Wednesday's during the early afternoon.

  We love this place, it's quiet and we usually hike for hours and see very few people. My little one loves the muddy puddles (bring water boots and spare socks), stopping for a little picnic and the newly discovered little waterfall/stream. it seems like we find a new path every time we go there. The place is clean for the most part (we take a bag to collect garbage that few nasty people left behind) . I suggest timing your walk because it is deceivingly easy walk but if you don't pay attention, your little one (if you take them) may get tired before you get back. There is an upper parking lot that has more space on most days. They mention that the gate closes at 4pm so you can park outside the gate if you plan to Saturday longer
