I went in for eczema and acne and she was very rude. She sat at her desk the whole time and wouldn't even do an examination on my skin. She just prescribed some stuff and left. The stuff she prescribed didn't even work. I think this office is more concerned about the money than patients.

I’ve literally never had so many issues with a doctor’s office before. When I initially visited, I struggled getting them to send a prescription to my pharmacy so long that I eventually made a follow-up appointment with Dr. Holmes just so I could ask her to tell the staff to send the prescription over. She was apologetic, but I still paid a copay for the visit. Fast forward a couple years later and I get a cancer screening done. I’m in the exam room for literally an hour before Dr. Holmes pops her head in and says, “Oh! No one told me you were back here! I’ve been working on paperwork!” OK, honest mistake. Then I schedule a time to get a benign mole and a cyst removed on a Saturday. I get reminder emails ALL week (at least 3 since exactly a week before) only to arrive and find out the office is closed. So glad I woke up early on a Saturday! Officially switching dermatologists.

Dr. Holmes is a good Derm. However her front desk staff is 100% incompetent. I have tried to make an appointment with Dr. Holmes 3 times now, on one of the two Saturdays that she works each month. Both times I got there and was told "oh she doesn't work today I'm not sure who told you that". This is a 45 minute drive for me each way, to get there and be told she is not there is unacceptable. Not because something came up and she isn't working but because her staff is extremely sloppy and careless. Today marked the 3rd occurrence. I called on Monday to confirm my appointment would actually be with her. I was told "yes your appointment is Saturday at 10:00am with Dr. Holmes". I call this morning again just to double confirm since there has been such confusion twice in the past, and the girl says "she's not working today the medical assistant is here. Her Saturday was last week"... Lets just say they are more than fortunate that I did not have to be told that in person today. I need an appointment with Dr. Holmes means just that. Plain and simple! And of course her next Saturday worked is July 9th but its booked, regardless I have no plans of returning.

I highly recommend Dr. Holmes. She is an amazing dermatologist. I have been with her about 5-6 years now and I am more and more pleased with the level of service and professionalism I receive every time I go. Until I became a regular did I understand how well functioning the office is and how accommodating they are; the waiting area can fill up fast because she is great demand, but they keep patients moving along with reasonable speed on the busiest days. Dr. Holmes has a warm and inviting personality and she is extremely knowledgeable. The extraneous services also offered in-office are great. (Ask for Ivy). Can't say enough, but definitely 5 stars. Location is also convenient and prices are competitive for any out of pocket costs.

Dr. Yolanda Holmes and her staff were simply marvelous to me. I came in concerned about a mole being cancerous and her and her staff put my mind at ease. I also have concerns about evening out my skin complexion without invasive procedures. She informed me my skin was in good. I needed a new skincare routine and she suggested her signature products for cleansing, toning and evening out and moisturizing my face. One of the product which she told me I would see result in six month - has started to show result only after two weeks. For a woman of color, a dermatologist who first accepts insurance and understands my specific skincare needs is priceless. She truly was amazing. And her staff were exceptional and professional yet kind in manner.
