This camp sounds very promising but does not deliver. The staff is comprised of bored and overheated staff with no enthusiasm or sincere concern for the wellbeing of the children they have been entrusted with. They rotate the children throughout the grounds through out the day to make the time pass, I sincerely would not return nor recommend this IF you are looking for good care for your child(ren).

Tons of activities for the whole family. Archery, challenge course, canoeing, fishing and equestrian center. Something for everyone. The Y staff are all super friendly and do a great job of making sure everyone feels included.

We used Camp Carter for the first time this summer for day camp. We signed up for 6 weeks but cancelled after 5. Not the quality care I expect for my daughter. Supervision and communication were seriously lacking. I understand it's a day camp, but also child care and that piece was seriously missing. I expressed my concerns since week 2 and while the directors seemed receptive, nothing improved. The camp grounds seemed nice, my daughter - 5yo -didn't know the difference since she was able to do whatever (play in dirt, swim), but not a place I had peace of mind that she was being appropriately cared for.

I have been going to this camp for 6 years, and I absolutely love it. I have been to other camps, and none of them are even close to Camp Carter. This camp really is the most amazing place on earth I have ever been too. If you are considering sending your child to this camp, I urge you to ignore the bad comments on this camp. This camp is the most amazing, magical place I could ever imagine. I look forward to going here in the future. I love Camp Carter!!
