  I have been to World of Beer 2 times in the last couple weeks. The first time was not the greatest. They ran out of every beer I ordered. The server was really cool about it and gave us a free meal for a future return. The food was really tasty. I went back again and it was leaps and bounds better than the previous time. They had every beer I ordered and the service once again was great. I would say never judge a restaurant the first time you go, especially if it is brand new. Great beer selection, great food. Their fruit infused beers that they infuse in house are fantastic.

  This restaurant is clearly experiencing growing pains and adjusting to being new. The entire beer selection was sold out by the time I arrived at 7:30PM and our server made it seem that they did not have any replacement kegs or any new beer that would take its place. Additionally our server could not be found. The first beer order was incorrect and we could not find our server for at least 20 minutes to correct the issue. They were clearly understaffed and our server was really busy (not his fault). Finally he came over to us and we ordered new drinks which we watched sit in the well for 30 minutes and they were completely dead when another server finally delivered them. Food came out promptly though. The pretzel was great. We ordered one more round of drinks after our entrees and waiting another 30 minutes for them. WOB needs to figure out the logistics of this place because service is awful and it is incredibly disorganized.

  Went into World of Beers for the first time and may be the last time. I waited 10 minutes before the waitress even came around to take our drink orders. Then waited 5 minutes for drinks for 5 people and these weren't complicated drinks. 20 minutes into sitting there and they are finally taking our food order. I ordered the French Dip with french fries. The fries were pretty good but the steak on the sandwich was obviously the meat that everyone gets frozen and then tries to cook afterwards, or at least it tasted like that. The wings were pretty decent but then at the end, I get a tab of 13.08. I give the waitress a $20 and she brings me $6 change and no coins. Not sure why they felt that $.92 was not important but that probably tainted how much of a tip she got from me because she already assumed I was giving her almost a $1. I am thinking that the $5 Monday burger special might be the only thing that gets me in there ever again and I will pay by card next time so I can control how my money is spent.

  The build out of this bar/restaurant is very cool and it has some nice outdoor seating. That, however is where the good things to say end. Service is incredibly disorganized. We had four people ask us if they could take our order because there appears to be no clear service sections. Despite having 4 people ask for our order, it took more than 20 minutes to actually receive 2 beers, and they were incorrect. When trying to correct the issue, there was not a server to be found, so I myself went to the bar to get my correct drink. Watched tables walk out, watched drinks sit in the well for 10 minutes or more without being delivered, watched servers place customers’ dirty dishes on clean tables, watched servers and bartenders argue with each other about whose drinks were waiting and whose fault it was they weren’t delivered. We never were even presented with a good menu. This place is an absolute train wreck. I hope it gets better, but I’m giving him plenty of time to iron this mess out.

  World of Beer has a slightly misleading appearance from its Mass Ave entrance. Looks even a bit uninviting. However it has quite a bit of charm once you get settled. The food was great!! Our server, Jan, was outstanding. Terrific atmosphere. I do want to mention that the first table they took us to was in a very skinny hallway downstairs overlooking the restrooms. We said, “No”, and the hostess totally understood and was very gracious about finding us a better location. We ended up sitting outdoors and everything was yummy!! Start off with the soft pretzel- you won’t be disappointed. My chipotle chicken sandwich was YUMMY and my husband enjoyed the Cali bowl. We will be back!
