::We went to this restaurant because of recommendation from locals and also we want to try the Basque cuisine. You wouldn't thought it's a restaurant when you pass by that area because it looks like a warehouse and the sign looks old and faded. The parking is full when we arrived but there's an extra parking lot at the back. The interior looks casual. With regards to food, they'll serve you first with complimentary sides and the food are in large portions. I ordered the oxtail stew (good for 2-3pax) and my husband ordered the roast beef which he doesn't like much. The oxtail is very tender and it's good. We have leftovers, so we took it home. We spent a total of $50+ just for the two of us and I would say its kinda expensive.

::This place is amazing. Lots of really excellent food, not very expensive. Great service A friend said if I was ever in Bakersfield I should check it out, and he was totally right. I had the roast lamb, a friend had the oxtail stew, but honestly just the included sides makes for a great meal. Definitely take the pickled tongue extra! Will definitely plan to go again if I'm in town.

::The restaurant is located among warehouses. Driving through the neighborhood, we were a little uneasy. We were able to find a spot at the adjacent lot. Definitely the restaurant is located in an interesting neighborhood. We stopped in around 12:39 on a Saturday. The parking lot was full. Walked in from the banquet room side door. The room was full of people. Service was prompt and friendly. Drinks, bread, and salad were brought out quickly. Food was hugh portion. The salad and pickled tomatoes were delicious with its dressing. The sandwiches had a lot of meat. Our favorite was the oxtail stew. The oxtail was so tender that meat came right off the bone. Didn’t give a five star because we were expecting a basque cheesecake but it was a cheesecake that one can buy from a supermarket.

::Basque style restaurant. Quite the history. Get there hungry as the portions are quite large. I had the ox tail. Very tender. Mom had the filet of sole. Said it was good. Soup was very tasty. There were a side of beans and hot sauce as condiment for the soup. My aunt had the fried chicken. They complained the fries was not crispy. Was on the soggy side. Must experience at least once. Meat lover a must. Not much for the vegetarian.

::Friendly, casual atmosphere with delicious Basque food. José the bartender made our visit extra enjoyable. Our group ordered fried chicken, lamb chops, and pork chops. Each if us was very satisfied with our meal.
