  Not at all what you would expect form a nice Hotel! I've been to nice spa all over this was like a Massage Envy. The "Relaxation Room" is a room with a couch and a few chairs with about 5 other people waiting to go into to service I had to share the changing room and locker with my friend. I would not go here again.

  This was my first massage here for my vacation that I took by myself.The front desk was super sweet and they had amazing etiquette.My massuist was amazing and I felt my knots unravel and I felt great for a long time.After having a massage here in massage heights in my hometown,I really appreciate the one I had in San Antonio.Can't wait to go back one day.

  Not at all what I had expected. I frequent a Woodhouse Day Spa in my hometown and it is superb. I made an appointment at this Spa in the Hotel Contessa, weeks in advance of my stay. My appointment was for an 80 minute swedish massage with a female masseuse. On the morning of my appointment, I arrived at 8:30 for my 10:00 appointment so that I could take my time to change into my robe and read in the quiet room. There were a total of two unisex single changing/shower rooms. At my Woodhouse back home, there are separate men's and women's changing/shower rooms and multiple private rooms within those. The quiet room was brightly lit up instead of dim like the quiet room that I am use to at my Woodhouse. They were very nice when they checked me in, but seemed to be a bit freaked out that I was so early, even though I explained that I wanted to read in the quiet room. They came in the quiet room at one point to tell me that they were able to get a therapist to come in early for me and that HE.... I stopped them mid sentence and explained that I booked a female and didn't want a male and that I was in no hurry. They then told me that they were sorry but my appointment was with a male. I told them that was not what I booked and that I would just leave. They then told me they would talk to the manager. They came back and offered me a facial instead. I told them I wasn't interested in a facial. They went back to talk to manager a second time. The manager came in the quiet room this time and introduced himself and told me that he was able to work things out so that I would be able to get my 80 minute swedish massage with the female masseuse afterall. After all that commotion, I really was in no mood to stay, but did anyway. The lady masseuse was very nice, but my experience overall and the spa itself did not live up to the Woodhouse name. I will not be back. Very disappointed.
