::Poor service during F1... Food poisoning to top it off... My boyfriend and I have always enjoyed Willie G's. We have brought many friends there with us and were always telling others to go. Friday (11/15) we brought a group of 7 with us. It took forever to get drinks. Understandable. F1 weekend made everything crazy. Then out waiter, Ben, didn't come back after he dropped our drinks off. We tracked him down and ordered. Two hours later we still hadn't received our orders. (Nor anything in between saying "Hey sorry were slammed, Be right with you, etc.) Not main dishes, but just appetizers from the "Bar Food" menu. My boyfriend got a manager and brought him to our table to complain. Turns out our food had "Just come out". Interesting that it just came out after we got a manager and was delivered COLD. We paid our bill, which wasn't discounted. Which is the least you can do to apologize . ESPECIALLY since NO ONE apologized to us for the poor service. Not our waiter, not the manager. To top the whole experience off I woke up the following day sick with food poisoning, which is how I spent the rest of my weekend. I will never recommend Willie G's to anyone again. In fact I will be sure to deter anyone from their service. And I certainly will not set foot in the place again.

::Went to Willie G's for the first time today for lunch. The food was great! I also has a Peach Mango tea and it was delicious. I was a little dark and quiet which was a great break from the annoying lighting at the office. The only thing I was shocked by was the air conditioning. Although it was really humid out so between the mango tea and settling into the a/c, it was much better by the end of lunch!

::Landry's bought the McCormick & Schmick chain - this was one of their worst performers and they took the smart move of shutting it down and rebranding. The peel and eat shrimp were excellent (only five bucks on Happy Hour too) and the cocktails were very well made. The bartender (Ham) was very personable and efficient. Overall I look forward to trying this out for a full dinner now the stain of McCormick's has been removed.
