    Palo Alto Medical Foundation provides some of the best health care in the south bay. I won't name drop, but you are some of the best doctors around from pre-Sutter times. Thanks for the care you provide each and every day.

    The rude asian lady at the reception desk really makes visiting here an unpleasant experience. She sits on the left desk when you walk in and facing the reception desk. I've taken my child here several times and every single time she snapped back at me (and other people) for asking the simplest of questions regarding my appointment and clearly seems bothered to engage in any talking with visitors. First couple of times, I thought she might be having a bad day or something, but EVERY SINGLE TIME I go there she talks down on people just trying to get to their appointments. Almost every single question is nearly cut off and answered with a snappy tone of "Just go take a seat!". I would understand it if she was swamped all day and had to deal with rude patients, but I've also been there early morning when the reception room was empty and she was the same mean snappy disrespectful person. Honestly, I don't know why she is still working there as she clearly doesn't want to be there. I don't know, maybe it's just her daily ordinary tone and she talks in a rude way to everyone everyday. But one thing is clear, and that is talking / helping people in a friendly manner is not in her skill set.

    I went in for a preventative visit and they billed me for both a preventative visit and an office visit because I asked the doctor if she thought I should see a specialist for a problem I have. At least warn the patient that they will be billed extra for discussing any issues during their preventative care appointment. Billing department won't remove the charge and I will not be going back. If they do this for a preventative visit then I don't want to find out how they do their billing for actual procedures.

    Made an lab test appointment at 4:30pm. Arrived on time and was told to stand and wait at the window. After a couple of minutes, the CPT staff named H. S. told me he does not do test after 4pm. I told him but I have an appointment. He said it does not matter in a very disrespectful way. Very rude and disrespectful CPT.

    In Feb 2019, I visited Dr. Ponnuswamy for a routine preventive care visit. As part of the visit, she ordered tons of tests and I diligently got them done. This was the first year we moved from Kaiser to Sutter. Never before in the past 10 years of yearly visits I have been charged for routine exam and tests. Soon after, I get a HUGE BILL from Sutter. Called them and the Billing Dept said speak to your insurance as they haven't covered it. On calling Insurance, they told me that Sutter had billed my entire visit as "Diagnostic" instead of "Preventive" and thus Sutter needs to make changes. I called up Sutter again and they did not have a reasonable explanation of why everything is being billed as Diagostic.They kept saying we did it based on the doctors notes. After multiple calls of no clear explanation, I got fed up, decided I'll never see a primary care doc in sutter again and paid my bill in totality, BUT also wrote a review on their site. Soon, I got a call from their Social Care team and they assured to make it right and so did they. They refunded portion of my payment. I took off the review. Fast forward..Jan 2020, I again get a bill from Sutter for the exact same amount they had refunded. Called the Billing Dept, spoke to Jennifer C. and that call was a shame on customer service. The Billing Department does not know how to to bill, they do NOT know why they billed me after a year??!!, they do NOT know why they refunded and they take zero responsibility for their actions. Even if they know they billed something wrong, they will NEVER correct them. Their Billing Dept is a SCAM, AVOID going to the WEST VALLEY PAMF Sutter affiliate, you will be harassed mentally. The appointment visits for their in-house doctors was way more than an average visit outside for the quality they provide and then the Billing Dept. makes it a nightmare! AVOID GOING to WEST VALLEY CENTER.
