Avoid giving money to anyone associated with this property management. I've never been more disappointed with business dealings.

I completely agree with the below comment. I have lived in one of his apartments for the past 6 months. Within the first two months I began to see mold, literally crawling up my wall. It was two feet long and about 3 feet wide. When I asked the neighbors about it, they claimed that" mushrooms were growing" in their bathroom. They said after them alerting John about it, he did nothing. "He made us sign a waiver that says we are aware of mold". Yet, I assumed it was due to this being New Orleans and it was spotty here and there. I did not expect it to grown up my walls, or It least not EVERY wall. This is only one of the many incidents that occurred. I began asking questions about the problems that other neighbors have had. One claimed that their bathroom sink has not worked for months. Another suggested that he entered their apartment without consent, and without written notice. When they claimed it was a violation of their rental rights, he told them that it wasn't their apartment and he can do as he wishes. Then he evicted them. Due to his frightful demeanor and now safety issues ( I do not agree with a 50 year old man allowed walk in my apartment at his leisure) I am now planning to move when my lease is up. After one harassing visit, and one verbal phone call, I can be sure that his persona isn't a pleasant one. Besides disrespecting his tenants and ignoring his properties, he demands extremely high late fees. Also, from what I have read from other renter's online, he keeps your deposit no matter what.He will even charge you extra thereafter. So in conclusion, do not rent from this company or John Wallick. Beware.
