Awful. Walgreens' is STILL Racial Profiling. I was there at 5:30 on Sunday, December 21 2014 to get batteries. As I walked in a I past a counter where a Caucasian man in his mid 20's with Brown hair was standing. He was about 5'10", medium build, and was very fair skinned (English descent I would guess). He said "hello" to me and I assumed this greeting was part of his job protocol. Then I noticed that his eyes followed me even when I was at the other side of the store 70 feet away. I went went through the aisles looking for batteries (his eyes still on me) until I found them on the wall. I picked up a pack of AAA Duracell. Then I remembered I was running low on moisturizer. So I went towards the front of the store where the cosmetics were kept. On my way I passed an Asian woman doing something that looked like price checking. She asked if she could help me, but I ignored her since I already knew where to find what I needed. Then I saw her look towards the counter. I peered out of the side of my left eye to see the same Caucasian man give her a nod as if to say, "Do it". I still went to the moisturizer section and looked at the boxes to make sure I was picking the correct one. Everyone woman has different skin and the wrong moisturizer could be a near disaster. And there to my left about 4 feet away is the Asian woman. She's standing with her body veered to a 45 degree angel where the front of her body his angled towards me while her right hand is picking up beauty products. I couldn't believe it. I looked over and saw her eyes looking up towards me as if she were a teacher and I was a cheating student. It was so degrading. There were about 10 other shoppers in the store and I'm the only one who is being trailed like a suspect? How can they think that I can't afford 9 dollar batteries and a $16 moisturizer? The only thing that made me different from their other customers was that I have waist long black hair and I'm Latina with brown skin. I'm guessing they're not bright enough to know that silky waist long hair doesn't come cheap and that staying a size 5 past your early 20's isn't cheap either. You'd think with all the outrage about racial profiling in the news that Walgreen's would be more conscious, but it appears they just treat their Latina customers like thieves. I would recommend that Latinas and African Americans stay away from this store because they won't hesitate to pin you as a shoplifter and treat you with degradation.
