  Location location location! This is the best part of this hotel. Right across the street from AA- perfect for a concert or sports night. BUT, for the price , there needs to be some attention to this hotel. The heated pool is nice but the water was cloudy and needs the chemicals balanced. The mattress was very stiff and whatever side I lied on, my body parts would fall asleep, which would wake me up and I tossed and turned all night. Also, many of the ice machines on the floors are not in working order. I did ask them to bring me ice and they did. Also, the bathroom countertops were very small and I had a hard time fitting my toiletry bag on it. The water pressure on the shower was just OK. In addition, there were not enough valet drivers when we arrived and the line was long and they didn’t go in order of arrival. Finally, they only had one person at reception to check guests in at this busy hotel on a Saturday, so again, we had to wait. Oh/ and the elevators are slow!! I think 1 was not in working order. But, we had a very fun night with our group despite the hotel flaws.

  Great staff and location! I have stayed at a few W's this one has been the worst experience yet. Loads of differed maintenance and lacking cleaning everywhere you look from dusting to cleaning up puke in the elevator for an entire day. The counter and TV in our room looked like it received champagne bottle service and had never been cleaned up. The front of the TV was clean but the sides had questionable splatter all over them... Management its way overdue for a remodel and deep cleaning. Additionally the 1 elevator that was working sounds like it needs maintenance. Lots of crazy sounds. I don't leave many poor reviews but this place needs love. I should have stayed at Virgin and skipped the Marriott...

  The W is a very SWANKY hotel that's located in downtown Dallas, the uptown area to be exact, close to the American-Airlines Center and all the high-end shops and restaurants over there. It most definitely belongs in that part of town with all the other fancy establishments. It's easy to find and get to with the help of GPS and Google Maps! LOL The lobby is very nice and the inside has kind of a sleek and modern look to it. You must have a working room key to be able to access and use the elevators, which I think is a great feature to have and gives you that extra layer of security. I did feel like the actual room was kind of small, but still very nice and clean. Overall it's a nice place to stay.

  The room was just okay. Honestly I have stayed at much nicer hotels for way less money, but I get that it's the location you're paying for. The staff was friendly and helpful. The reason I give it only 2 stars is simply it stinks. Literally. The very sweet front desk person explained that all W hotels use a "signature scent" that they use in every W hotel. Unfortunately it is used so heavily that you can taste it. The room was so heavily scented that it was migraine headache inducing to the point we left before midnight (on New Years!) and just drove home. So disappointed.

  Awesome! Staff was very attentive and kind. Everything and everyone was kind. Except the Away Spa. My daughter wanted to book 2 services for each of us, however, the receptionist was not very forthcoming with information. We decided to go to Hand & Stone. Otherwise...we were very happy. So far.
