VVA/Vets Connect Donation in Albuquerque

  I have called the VVA number (275-3727) in Albuquerque, NM seven times in the last 2 weeks and left my info and call back number for a donation pick-up like the message instructed. Not once did I get a call returned to set up a pick-up date. I called again on Thursday, July 20, 2017 at 7:30am and a lady answered the phone. I explained that I had quite a lot of never worn, or like new men's clothing, including suit coats, western shirts, flannel shirts, polo shirts, t-shirts, etc., totaling about 80 lbs. She set up a pick-up date on Friday, July 21st between 9am-3pm. It is now after 5pm and they are a no show. Nor does anyone answer the phone. This is a piss poor way to run a charitable organization and I can only imagine what the veterans in need must have to go through when they need help. My husband is a Marine Veteran and I'm thankful he does not have to deal with such uncaring and ignorant people. My next call will be to the DAV and my US Representative. This organization shouldn't even get one star.
