Great donuts, even if you turn up in the middle of the night. I went at 3:30am and there was a freshly baked batch of donuts which had just been put on the shelf. Had some great donuts in Portland, but Voodoo was my favourite. Especially liked the original plain glazed one!

Voodoo donut is an iconic 24hour donut shop that is always bustling with visitors and locals alike. We chose to visit after dinner and drinks, and we're still amazed how many donuts we wanted to try. After adding 6 donuts to an adorable pink box, we made the trek home to indulge. I haven't had a donut in like 7 years, and daaayyymmm. These were good! You can even get a donut that looks like a voodoo doll :)

It is located in the center of Portland downtown. The store is tiny and always crowded. It is a walk-in and take-out donut shop. It only accepts cash and it is very cheap! (average $2 per donut). There are many favors you can choose, from bacon to mango to original. For me I don’t like the favors that much because it is too sweet for me but it is okay. I had the mango one!

These donuts are so dang BIG! Couldn't possibly eat more than one. Chose a simple cake donut with chocolate frosting. It was delicious and different than any other chain I've tried. Long line though. Can't believe I waited in a line to get a dang donut!

Besides the sweet look of the place, the very noticeable pink box that you see many people walk with across town (and at the airport), the many different colorful flavors of donuts and the funny underwear displayed on a mannequin inside the store (displaying the twisted slogan "The magic is in the hole") we enjoyed some of the vegan options available at Voodoo Doughnut. Very tasty! We also enjoyed very much the fact that the waiting time was not too long during standard business hours of a week day. Also, there was a very talented guitar player/singer entertaining the crowd outside the store. Among my memorable Portland experiences.
