    I echo the complaints of all the other reviews here. They lie, do not return phone calls. They are currently lying to Medicaid in the course of a fair hearing, via their law firm Rosenblum Newfield, LLC. I have not received a phone call returned in 3.5 weeks. When on the phone, on hold with 6 different people, we suddenly lose connection and no one calls back.Approved for 24/7 care, they lie about the amount of hours they give us (told us 20, currently receiving 18). 2 hour gaps in aide coverage turn into 4.5 hours on a regular basis due to a 6pm-4am shift. My mother is left in pain. The aide leaves without being able to lock the door at 4am. We were told that if we put a bed in the living room VNS Choice will provide a live-in aide, but the aide agency tells us that is not satisfactory and they cannot provide a live-in aide. Further her care plan requires she be turned every 2 hours, so they cannot provide an aide that sleeps. All we need is 2x12 shifts and this would all be resolved. It's a simple decision and complete insanity that families must deal with this. The NYS Dept of Health also refuses to help. Investigator is rude and dismissive, I was not allowed to file a grievance. Voicemails to supervisors at the Dept of Health and VNS go unreturned. I was told "everyone here knows about this case." This does not only happen with VNS, it is rampant in the MLTC insurance and aide agency industry. Patient care is not put first, a few extra $$ is put first, risking a blood clot, bed sores, causing ER visits, 911 calls. I do not know how they get away with this stuff.

    The worst plan ever. My Mother was enrolled to this plan, and No Dr. Wants this plan. This plan doesn't care for anyone!! Have A Heart!!! I want to get my mother out of this plan. Mom is Not getting the Medical attention she needs!! Diabetic, just lost her eye sight... They are the worst! Needs endoscopy, and Many things done, they don't Care!👎I want to report these People. Everything is a hassle for everything my mom needs.👎👎👎👎👎

    Worst of all! Please be yourself advocate because those nurses aren't think for your love ones. This named Anna nurse dressed so nice, came and left as she was working in the office. They are doing it as a job not think for you. They are not thinking for your love ones in what they really need. They can only tell you to send them to nursing home. Think about it , it is not for better but worst. Time is critical in any situation but they actually pointing you to a wrong direction which delays real treatment and a real doctor. All those visits are not productive since they were not direct your to do the right things. All they do is call you up when your love one in the hospital which can prevent it if they really have a plan or the right direction. It is like an extra thing and gives you a false security.

    Money making company....not interested in patients' best care! Subsidiary of partners in care home health aides is also not up to par. I have made reasonable requests for my dementia stricken parent only to be met with a scolding from case manager and nurse about my parent. Then because we really like the one aide, who has no replacement nor days off, I picked VNS for MLTC, only to be contacted 1.5 weeks after calling VNS for choice enrollmentmet by aloof nurse. Aloof nurse showed up and according to VNS assement software, aide hours were cut in half! Parent is getting worse, not better and doesn't warrant a nursing home. VNS if allowed will turn parent into a sickly shut in...that is elder abuse! Btw.....calls are never returned! A few times I had to call only to be stopped by gate keeper, transferred, then info taken down, but never a return on my calls or inquires! Still looking for number to file complaints at VNS. However I did find a civil fraud case against VNS by US Attorney and US Department of Health and Human Services that included a settlement of $35 million....gee

    Worst insurance in NYC , if you have ill loved ones do not even bother, they are malice, do not return phone calls. Nurses over ride doctors request. everyone covers for each other from the case managers to the nurses. If your in the greater new your area and have N. Peterson -Rokh, or Denise her manager who will not return calls , handling your case run for the hills she will deny every request you make as if she is god playing with the lives of others because she can. Worst experience ever , don't waste your medicare dollars on these people.
