  Really an awesome historical place. Not far from Biscayne and surrounded by the biggest mainsions on mainland Miami.

  While the Vizcaya Estate is magnificent, there is something so real about the Village side of the grounds. To manage all of the guests’ needs, there was a working farm. These historic buildings tell the story of farming, animal husbandry and machine repair. Without these facilities, the lavish entertainment would have been impossible. These are the stories of our lives and this side of the fence is just as important to the overall understanding of the history & how it relates to us today.   Was okay for a short visit. Not as robust as the actual Vizcaya home across the street but was interesting to explore and see the grounds and the different stories behind the areas. Could not go into the buildings, unfortunately, but hopefully will be able to in the future.

  The Open House was nice. It would have been better if you could actually go into the various buildings they showed you....even better if you were allowed free entrance into Vizcaya Museum and Gardens!
