Better than average neighborhood market with most staples in stock and a particularly good selection of breads and beers

One of the worst experiences I've ever had in a grocery store. I'm in town visiting from Las Vegas. I'm staying two blocks from this grocery store in an airbnb. I visited this store today to buy a few items and I had my SERVICE DOG with me with her vest on like always. I've had her for 2yrs now and never had a problem going anywhere even grocery stores. When I first came in a young gentlemen with a baseball cap who was the rudest to me of them all approaches me and ask me about my dog, "Is that a service animal?" I replied yes, she has her vest on which is the typical vest all service dogs wear red and black and says service dog on it. Then he starts telling me, "well do you have a card or documentation cause we've had a lot of people buying vest online and coming in here. First off I've never heard this in my life, secondly I've never been asked for my card so I did not have it on me. What I did have was a letter for the airport for when I fly from my doctor. I told him i shouldn't have to show him anything but here's a letter from my doctor. He still wasn't happy. Then starts questioning me about what shes for. I told him PTSD which is the truth my dog keeps me from having panic attacks. This is a real condition and a condition for having a service dog. He still wasn't happy and continue to argue with me in the rudest tone which gave me the shakes cause like I said I have PTSD. I finally get away from him finish my shopping get to the check out lane and the cashier says pets aren't aloud i reply its a service dog she looks at it, sees its vest and lets the issue go like a typical person would no big deal. I'm in the check out lane no sooner get done replying to her the main manager is standing at the end of the aisle and begins asking me the same thing. At this point I'm livid and begin to shake from my PTSD and tell him that yes she is just like I told the last two workers and I don't appreciate being harassed the whole time I've been in here about my service dog. It's one thing to ask the appropriate questions its another to drill and harass me. When I got to my airbnb i got in my dogs travel bag and pulled out here registration card that the first guy asked for. I never carry it on my no one ever ask for it and nor are they aloud to. So here is a screen shot to show you how to handle someone with a service dog. Your lucky I don't contact my lawyer or file a complaint with Disability Rights Section (DRS) in the Department of Justice. Business May Ask: Is this a service dog? What task does it perform? Business May NOT: Require Special ID for the dog Ask about the person disabilility Charge fees because of the dog Refuse admittance, Isolate, Or treat this person less favorably than others etc.... Refusal to provide equal access to people with disabilities with service animals is a federal civil rights violation provided by the Americans With Disabilities Act Of 1990. Violators of the ADA can be required to pay money damages and penalties. I suggest you work on this issue of your unless you want to pay out some money!

Vincent's is a somewhat larger neighborhood grocery store, and much better overall quality than most. We shop at Schnuck' s, Costco, Soulard Market, Kenrick Meats (on Bayless), and Vincent's. Vincent carries a good selection of meat, fruit, frozen pizza, beer, wine, and routine to better in all other categories. Everyone who works for Vincent is friendly and helpful. He always has good holiday offerings such as at Thanksgiving and Christmas. For Mardi Gras and patriotic holidays, count on great party and booze offerings.
