  Awful! Terrible attitude from the people running the store. Rude and disrespectful. They talk down to people, they shout and yell at their customers for no reason. They are overpriced. They refuse to return despite promising that they would. I don't know how a place in the current world can still be working despite all the bad reviews and the trashy reputation

  I live around the corner from this shop on Pierrepont, so it could easily be my "go to" store. However, they are not only grossly over-priced, lacking in knowledge, but rude! First visit I was sold the wrong item despite giving a detailed description of what was needed. Today, as it was raining, I ran in to buy some plaster as I was doing some plastering and painting. The woman pounced on me as soon as I walked in as though I were a shoplifter - no "hello" no smile just "CAN I HELP YOU?!?" which may have been "what do YOU want". I smiled and said, "No thanks, I think I can find what I need (meaning I'm a previous customer and know where things are)." In response I got a "Well GOOD FOR YOU!". I said "I think I'll go elsewhere" at which she laughed. Seriously?!? Considering no one is EVER in that store, I'd think they would try to be more customer service-oriented. Never again! I'd rather walk the extra half-mile to Brunos where the prices are reasonable and the staff extremely helpful.

  Well, of you know what you want and do not expect a warm fuzzy experience, it's OK. Sometimes I get the feeling the people who work there, actually the owners and their son, would much rather be doing something else.
