In 2015 I purchased a rack for my Ridgeline after talking and emailing the people at Vantech. They went out of their way each time to help answer questions before I started installation, and when I had lost two parts, sent me the clips for free right away. When I upgraded my truck, I ordered new ( replacement) base rails which came quickly. They did what they said they'd do, followed up and delivered on a timely basis. I will go back to them in the future.

I recently purchased a ladder rack for my new Ford Transit from Vantech. Although I liked the quality of the product, the way it laid out on the truck made it difficult to load and unload ladders from the rear. I packaged it back up in it's original packaging, called the company for their return instructions, and sent it back via the US mail as per their instructions. I wasn't particularly happy about Vantech's "restocking fee", especially knowing they don't "restock" anything. All returns are either junked for scrap metal, or sold as is on ebay for much less then retail, but I was just happy to get the majority of my money credited back to my card, or so I thought. I checked my account weekly looking for my $371.37 credit. After three weeks, I called, explained the problem, and gave them my tracking number. I was told I would get a call back by the end of the day once they checked things out. That was on a Thursday. No return calls that day, or on Friday, or Monday and Tuesday of the following week either. I let it go for the rest of the week giving them the benefit of the doubt, and called them back the following Monday. I went through the entire story again with another person ( I have the names, but I'll leave that info out for now), and they again asked for my tracking number. Okay, I admit it. This part is my fault, but by now, so much time had gone by since the day I shipped it back, I had misplaced my receipt from the post office. I asked them for a duplicate, but since I paid in cash ($19.42) for the return, and did not take out insurance, there was no way way to find the tracking number. So now I have Vantech on the phone for the second time to rectify this problem, they are asking me for my tracking number again, and I'm telling them I no longer have the receipt and to just look it up from our last conversation a week ago. That's where I am told "I'm sorry, but we do not have a tracking number for you so therefore, there is nothing we can do for you". I have never had a problem returning anything to any company before, and I return a ton of packages to a variety of companies constantly, as I restore old muscle cars, and buying and returning parts is an everyday occurrence. At this point I explained how this is completely unacceptable, and I would like to speak to a manager. I was told there is no manager. I then asked to speak to the owner of the company, to which I was told ' they are in and out all day, and I have no idea when they will be back again". I said that was fine, but to please give them my name and number and have them call me as soon as they get in. Then I was told " wait a minute", and then a women came on the phone to speak with me. I explained the entire story once again only to hear " sorry, there is nothing I can do for you". Yes, I did lose the receipt with the tracking number, but that was AFTER I already gave it to them. So now?? Well now, I am out $371.37, plus $19.42 for shipping an invisible box that apparently no one received. Quite an expensive lesson, huh??? I would not recommend using Vantech for any purchases for your trucks. I have told all my contractors about how they handled this, and they have all purchased from American Van instead, with great results. Trust me, beware of this company !!!! Oh, by the way, I would not have even given them the one star rating, but apparently you can't send in a review unless you click on at least one star. There Vantech. Today is your lucky day. You received one star.
