  If you think you are going to get anything accomplished here. You are sadly mistaken. My councilor Jerica Dixon said she'd contact me the next day with an answer about payment for a class that was approaching, once I left her office she must've thrown my file in the trash because I never heard from her again. I contacted Congressman David Scott's office and all of a sudden my counselor called and I received the red carpet treatment. I advise u all to do the same.

  I always have a bad experience at the Atlanta VA Benefits Office, so I just stopped going. The sad thing is there are really great, helpful people working in the VA Hospital but the benefits office is atrocious. From the moment I walked in the front door, I was treated in an extremely rude, disrespectful, and abrasive manner by the security goons. ex: rude tone of voice, etc. Then once I got into benefits office, I waited for a counselor who walked me through to his office, sat me down for 60 seconds, and then rushed me out the back door. "see ya later, have a blessed day" he said. When I tried to ask questions, the counselor blew me off and couldn't wait to get me out. He must have been late for lunch.

  The VA has saved my life on 2 occasions. They have provided me with as good or better care than I have ever received in the public sector. They have been attentive to every malady I've had since 2010. At times I've had to exercise a little patience when the condition wasn't critical, but when it was critical, the ER was available 24/7. Keep up the good work, folks!!
