  I'm a local that believes in patronizing local businesses. I have always enjoyed the brunch here and would bring friends and co-workers in. But recently it's been very disappointing. A couple of times I came in and they were out of something like tofu scramble or vegan cheese. But I can live with that. Today I walked in around 1 and was told that they weren't seating for another 45 min because the kitchen was backed up. The place was almost empty but this was not the first time this has happened. Since we are a family of vegans and vegetarians we headed to Riverside. We enjoyed the vegan menu at Uptown but the management has lost our business for sure. Sorry we really tried to patronize this business even coming in on non busy nights to support them and telling our friends about it. But today was our final visit.

  Super slow on service, and a careless attitude. Ordered a tuna melt and got two pieces of toast with a half melted piece of cheese and some cold tuna salad slapped into the middle of it. Why put it on your menu if you can't cook it? Perhaps it's best to ask for a grilled cheese with tuna in the future, so they understand the concept of melt. Wait staff just offers to get a manager instead of relaying the message or just apologizing and acknowledging. Paid for my $9 sandwich and don't plan on returning. I used to love this place but it's really declining quickly.

  There was a wait, not sure why people would want to go here though. Service was mediocre, food was cold when it came out. Menu was misleading. Bacon and my olive oil/avocado toast was swimming in grease/oil. My "sweet stuffed waffle" that was advertised had cold, hard cream cheese and little to no fruit, as well as being burnt and dry. There's plenty more to list, the only thing good today was a regular cup of coffee I could get anywhere. First time staying in this area and i'll be coming back in the future, however i will NOT be coming back to this restaurant.

  This my 1st time visiting and I was not pleased with the food or the waiter, Shane. I ordered the Shrimp and grits, it was not good. The Shrimp was not seasoned well and the grits were runny and not seasoned at all. At far as our server Shane, he was a nice guy, but service wise, he was not attentive. We waited awhile before he took our ordered and waited awhile to check out (It was not busy at all). I dont think he stopped in to see if anything was need... Overall, I was not satisfied. Would I give them second try.... maybe. But it may be a while for now.

  After 9pm on Saturday night we deliberately chose this spot. We are hitting all of the new eateries in Springfield and the Riverside area. What a genius decision. Shannon was a great Server. We had zero wait time for anything. The food was spectacular. I had the Pork Roulade, Kendra had the fried chicken with collards, and Jackie had the shrimp and grits. The chef and his crew were just showing off! I personally went to tell them all that! Bravo, we shall return!
