  If I could leave 0 stars I would. After calling ahead about my dog having a reaction (was having a hard time breathing & swelling) I was told to bring her in. Upon arrival, very unorganized and weird layout of office. After 10 min a male worker comes out and says rudely "well it's going to be awhile" as he grabs my dog's leash and begins to pull her. She's never been here, she's scared and tries to get away. I will never go back into this place and I will be sure to make sure no one I know goes here. You do not treat a dog like that nor a potential new customer. If you were so busy it should have been communicated with the front desk. I left and took her to Sheabel and they administered an emergency shot to help her breathe. All while without being rude or attempting to pull her away.

  Uptown Hounds is a very clean, loving environment for dogs of all sizes. My two Great Danes LOVE the staff as well as going there for a random daycare visit once or twice a week. The employees are always so affectionate to each and every dog. It's evident they enjoy what they're doing which greatly benefits the well-being of our furry best friends. The one and only thing I would like to see changed is a discount offered for multiple pets. Paying full price for two dogs is quite costly for me so it prevents me from daycare fun year-round. I utilize the daycare facilities through the cold months only and revert to dog park visits everyday. I wish the facility would review and change this one and only policy. Thanks, Uptown, for the great love and care you provide my two Danes, Kaiser and Klaus!

  Update to my first review: The owner has been diligent in making me a happy customer and has credited my account for Brie's last visit. I'll take her back with very explicit instructions of how I want her groomed and there will be no confusion about it as I'm writing down EXACTLY what and how. I may even supply my own shampoo for her as I know it's what she needs for her coat color (white). As for Geoffrey, he's always been treated so well and I've been pleased with his grooming. When things haven't been trimmed enough, I've accompanied him to the grooming area to get areas done correctly. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for Brie. She is my "special" dog who I feel needs the most time and care.
