  What a great place. And for those of you who are criticizing any emergency room need to realize that because of the privacy act, YOU are not privy to what is going on behind the scenes in different rooms. For all you know, the team is working on someone so they won't die. But..imagine that scenario in place of the boo boo on your toe that you have had for 20 years which all of a sudden becomes an emergency? and you have to wait 30 minutes for a Dr. note...get a life. Everyone is just as important as you are if not more at the time of your visit. Emergency rooms are for seriously injured or seriously sick people. If you don't like the wait, go to an urgent care facility. Its ridiculous that people are so demanding on everyone's time when you have no idea what is going on in other rooms. Just because administration at some hospitals advertise to call ahead ...doesn't mean the dynamics of the ER change. Its still triaged...not according to your timed appointment for the EMERGENCY ROOM, (really?...appointments for an emergency? that's only setting your staff up to fail). but for the severity of the patients that come in to be seen. The Drs and the Nurses here are terrific. From a Charity Hospital ER Nurse.

  Waited 30mins for a Doctors note at 9am in an EMPTY lobby, with NO PATIENTS, & tons of staff! Then the lady who helped me with the thick black head band was hiding behind a wall peaking at me so she didn't have to help me. Once she did, she had the nastiest attitude! Won't be back!
