Great little shop! Helpful employees and good selection of "trial" games.

Friendly staff and customers. Willing to answer questions. Selection of games in stock is good for their size and they are willing order anything not in stock. Steamship Coffee also has good coffee and tea and you can get an all day coffee for extended gaming sessions. If you are making a large purchase or think you'll come in a few times, consider joining the VIP program. You receive discounts throughout the store and typically when they run promotions you get a better deal. It does have an annual fee but it can be paid for using five star points (from the loyalty program that's free to sign up for) and eventually made permanent. If you are a Magic player, the player base is friendly. They typically don't receive intensely competitive players. Update: free FNM with prize support was too good to last. They have switched to $5 with a pack per win. Parking can be a little difficult; Lake Street is often busy. I usually end up parking a block or two away.

So helpful and such a great selection. Nate was very helpful with a special order. Wish I was closer but it is still worth the 30min drive past two other( also great) stores to shop hear with the wonderful staff. They also have such good community support with tournaments, game nights and more. Always a fun visit.

Everyone was so nice! I just started playing Magic and the staff were super helpful in choosing my starter deck. Some folks, including the cashier, even gave me some of their old cards to add to my deck. It was such a warm and pleasant shopping experience. I will certainly be back to play Magic and have more wholesome interactions.

Coffee shop/game store hybrid with such a unique atmosphere and the absolute friendliest staff. We spent about 2 hours here with coffee just hanging out and chatting, and they were more than happy to have us there without playing games. The coffee is great too, I'd recommend a latte!
