This is a new and modern building and the lines are short or non-exsistant. The staff are friendly and handle business as quickly as they can, which is pretty quick. Best thing I like about it is that it is open on saturday from 10am to 3pm. That makes it very convienet to take care of postal business after a long week when you can't get there by 5pm M-F. Second best is that it only takes about 7 minutes to get there by bus from my place and the bus drops me off 1/2 block from the front door. Then to get back it's just 1 1/2 blocks to the bus-7 minutes to the stop near my place and a 1 1/2 block home. How's that for convienence and service!

This is a newer, more modern post office. The lines were okay, but the staff is woefully uneducated or willfully guide you toward the most expensive options for mailings. Strongly recommend you use the post office on 5th by Pine if you can.

I can't believe the day has come where I can rate the US Postal Office 5 starts. I just had the best experience at the US Post Office on SW 1st and Madison. Whoever is running that place needs a raise because they are running a tight ship. There was NO line... the first time I've seen that. Additionally, the people working there were nice and helpful! Thank you for making my day Madison US Post Office! You are all providing a wonderful service.

Long lines at 5:15 with one person up front. Indifferent staff clearly focused on finding new ways to frustrate consumers and work as slowly as possible. Asked Irwin for the name of the postmaster and was told "Yousef something." How arrogant do you have to be not to know your boss's name??
