  We moved to Downtown San Diego a few weeks ago, I love Downtown but finding places for the kids to play is a challenge. This park was recommended by one of my neighbors and what I love is that is walking distance from my house. The park is small but good enough for my young kids to play. You can also have a nice picknick with your kids, and don't worried about transients I have not seen any. This place is good for kids ages 2 to 5 years old, as one of their signs say. I also love how clean it is and the planes when they pass by. P.S. The park is up hill going north on 9th ave, so make sure you are ready for some cardio work out.

  Nice little park at the top of the hill. I echo that it is a great place to walk a dog or to just sit and enjoy.

  It's filled with dog droppings from irresponsible owners and homeless people looking for a place to wait out the night. If you do go, go in broad daylight and be willing to walk away at a moment's notice.

  This is a small strip of park next to the I-5 close to the landing approach to Lindbergh Field, but it is very relaxing. True to its name, birdsong can be heard. The festive signs and information kiosk add to the ambience. Locals bring their dogs and children to this family-friendly venue.
