I stopped in just to check out the lobby and restaurant because I was curious how they designed it. It's beautiful inside, and the receptionist was very helpful and answered my questions. I also really liked the art in the lobby. I'm local, so I probably won't have a reason to stay at the hotel but I'm looking forward to trying the restaurant. It was charming and the menu looks good.

Loved the vibe of this place. It is obvious that these people put their customers' experience first and have a great attention to detail. Very clean, reasonable rates, and the comfortable bed were much appreciated, but they had me with the cocktail upon arrival. The Marshall bluetooth speaker in the room was a nice bonus. We also ate at the attached restaurant and it was absolutely wonderful!

The bar area is nice, well staffed. Hotel is furnished well, rooms are fine, they use heavy air freshener in the cleaning process. No onsite morning coffee/tea, food service does not begin until 5pm. Local morning spots are sparse.

Perhaps my expectations for Tuck were too high, but there were a few things that felt "off" about this boutique hotel. First, no offer of any type of additional services upon check-in (am coffee, or any other complimentary amenities); no additional pertinent info available in the room either. When asked for face cloths (none in room) or extra pillows, the staffer stated that Tuck was like a "European style boutique hotel". In fact, Euro hotels tend to over compensate their guests. Not so here. Apparently each room is uniquely decorated; mine came with quasi "designer" chairs that were extremely uncomfortable--like that nursery rhyme, too hard, too low...but nothing just right. bed was comfortable, location (to Verve coffee across the street, thank God!) worked for me. Otherwise, this hotel felt like it had little to offer other THAN location. Apparently the restaurant is getting rave reviews, but that has little to do with the actual hotel experience.
