I sent both of my kids here. Pre k and kindergarten were great my kids loved it. We started having issues once my daughter hit first grade. The first grade teacher seemed to be more concerned with socializing and reporting on class dojo all day then she was about teaching her students. I had countless meetings with the teacher and principle who both assured me my daughter knew the work she just was not doing her work so that's why my daughter had anywhere from 6 to 10 pages of homework front and back a night. I also noticed they took my daughters desk and another child's desk and put them up against a wall facing AWAY from them teacher and board because she was not paying attention to the teacher? and one of the complaints of the first grade teacher was my daughter was not paying attention while she was teaching...well her desk is facing the opposite way from you how is she supposed to pay attention when she has to twist her back around to look at you? When I asked my daughter she told me the teacher was too busy to help her during class and she was on her phone a lot both my children said this about the teacher and I had proof through class dojo she was on her phone all day. They went ahead and moved my daughter to 2nd grade and she continued to fail and not understand the work. I decided to have her tested at sylvan who then basically told me she acquired NO skills in the first grade she was basically still at a kindergarten level. I decided to move both of my children since my son was in the same first grade teachers class since there's only 1 to choose from in that school due to it being small. I put them in a public school which offered way more help and answers. I feel like the teacher did not want to take the time to help students who did not pick up the material quickly. I feel like the teacher and the school made excuses instead of addressing the real problem which was the first grade teacher was just too "busy" to help the students one on one which she actually said during a meeting we had when asked about the children getting help one on one.The second grade teacher was very sweet and tried to help as much as she could but it was too late my daughter was just too far behind at that point. I had to enroll my daughter into sylvan and now have to pay them thousands for her tutoring on top of already paying that school who taught her NOTHING in the first grade. Good luck to you if you enroll your kid there and they hit first grade.

Great school. This is a school that teaches its children to love the lord . Very hard to find in today's world. My daughter learned so much . I am so pleased with this school ! I urge you to investigate this school on your own . I've dealt with private institutions before and this one is truly nurturing to their students .

INCOMING PARENTS PLEASE READ: THEY PADDLE YOUR KIDS!!! I was looking to register my 9 year old for 3rd grade FOR THE 2016-2017 school year. Kelly ( Vice - Principle) was kind enough to give us a tour three months prior and go over details on a normal school day. My husband and I took time off of work twice to make sure this was the perfect school for our little girl. We decided to begin at Trinity Baptist Temple Academy and turned in paperwork and paid a $500 enrollment fee on a Friday 7-22-2016. I received a call from Gregg (Principle ) on 7/25/2016 and was informed that if I am not 100% on board with paddling my 3rd grader that she cannot attend their school. I explained to Gregg that I do not discipline my kids with paddles, if there was a situation that arose where she would need a paddle to contact me immediately and I would gladly go to the school to discuss disciplinary action. I further explained that I live and work 2 miles from the school and could be there in less than 5 minutes. Gregg explained to me that if I don't agree and give them permission to paddle my daughter in the rear end she will not be accepted in the school and I needed to agree to this policy or she will not attend their school. I simply wanted to be contacted first before any disciplinary action because I am the parent and they should not have to discipline. Gregg's theory was if a child hits another child they should have permission to paddle a child instantly and not wait to contact a parents- So basically Gregg you are teaching the kids not to hit and but yet turn around and hit the child with a paddle -This makes no sense. I was very disappointed that Gregg was more concerned with paddling my daughter than her education. Basically my daughter has no voice at that school he clearly confirmed this when he stated that he would believe a teacher over a 3rd grader and I needed to trust them. I don't know how you raise your kids Gregg but my children have a voice and a choice. I'm very shocked and disappointed on the schools priorities. I understating that in the end these are your rules and guidelines but I should not be discriminated because I don't allow you to SPANK my child. Craziness going on at that school. Where are your priorities? I do not recommend this school at all. I am not opposed to spanking as a form of discipline all I asked for was to be contacted before to be a part of the decision after all I am the parent!! and that was not acceptable for Gregg so we withdrew because he does not have permission to paddle my 9 year old daughter.
