  I work at a community nonprofit with immigrant/refugee clients, and one of my clients went for dental services at Dr. Tran's office. His office was on the list of dental providers in the area that accept MediCal/Denti-Cal. Both him and his receptionist were extremely rude to my client. My client speaks limited English, and I spoke over the phone with Dr. Tran and offered to connect a phone interpreter to bridge communication between him and the client (using my nonprofit's funds for interpreter services). Both the receptionist and Dr. Tran were very unfriendly, unaccommodating, and ultimately discriminatory towards my client. Dr. Tran eventually refused service to my client based on her limited English (despite having access to an interpreter), rudely exclaiming "I can't help her. She makes my job hard!" My client left crying. This space is not welcoming to immigrants or limited English speakers. I will never refer another client here.

  My first 2 times I went the appointment was OK. But the last appointment didn't go so well. When I completed my visit and was given itemized statement of services rendered, I noticed that I was charged for things that I was told would be done on next appointment, yet it was printed that these things were already done. The very rude receptionist refused to answer questions. Refused to allow me to ask Dr Tran. I then left and called several times . was hung up on and wasn't able to get a simple answer. So fast forward a year later i call for appointment and was told they weren't able to schedule me. But didn't u just ask if I'm an continuing patient yet refusing me an appointment.

  i just called and tried to get copies of my x rays for my new dentist. My new dentist told me that the x rays were too old. So I called back literally 5 minutes later and Dr Tran answered the phone. I told him that I would not need the x rays and to please not charge me the $22. He told me they were already printed and hung-up on me. *to note: the reason I no longer go to Dr Tran is that he gave me the sketchiest cleaning of my life. It took less than 5 mins, it was rough, reckless, and he literally rested his instruments on my pants while doing the cleaning. ALL without a hygienist present. STAY AWAY!

  My experience with BruceTran be careful because he did Exrays cover w insurance he billed insurance, no discussion of any copay.I needed a Root canal he charged that right on the spot $222.50. He wanted do more work i said no lets wait for insurance coverage he agreed. he then did a appointment for cleaning no copay. and now he is billing me $ 620.70 i already contacted Dental Board of California.

  In the past I spent $10,000-12,000 at Dr. Tran. I just returned after 5 years and I had an appointment with Dr. Tran. While I was waiting in the dental chair, I overhead Dr. Tran brow beating a patient for money at the front desk as the man was leaving. It was truly sad. Dr. Tran "cleaned" my teeth in about 2 minutes. Actually, after this incompetent "cleaning", my teeth are still full of plaque. Again, it's all about money with little regard for the patient. When I complained, Dr. Tran said he would give me some names of other dentists. The fact is much of the dental work he did in the past is or has failed. In my opinion, Dr. Tran is a careless, indifferent, and greedy dentist.
