On Wednesday December 27, 2017 my partner and I got into a car accident on the Long Island Expressway around 9:15AM. We crashed into the back of a van because a jeep short stopped two cars infront of us. I was stuck in the front seat and I was having a panic attack. My boyfriend was outside of the vehicle attempting to figure out the damages and assessing the situation. Out of nowhere a tow truck came inquiring about what had happened. His name was Abe and he appeared to be genuine and concerned about our situation. This was shortly after I had called 911 therefore I was not aware that this tow truck was not sent by NYPD dispatcher. Abe hooked our vehicle that was completely banged up in the front and told us to get inside the tow truck. As he pulled off he told us that he was not going to take the car to Queens that instead he was going to take us to his shop over on 125th street because he wanted to make sure we receive d the best help. He told us that he felt bad and that in order to help us he was going to make sure we were not charged a towing fee and that the $1000 deductible that our insurance would charge us he would make sure we did not have to pay them and we can use that money towards getting a rental since our policy did not have insurance reimbursement. As my boyfriend was trying to deal with me having an anxiety attack and trying to get family on the phone Abe had my boyfriend sign his name on the documents but explained that it was simply recognizing that he was allowing this tow company to take our car to the shop. Little did we know that we were signing up to be scammed. Our car was towed to Tow Arrific located on 334 E. 126th Street. I sent my insurance company pictures of the car and they decided to total our car and at that point we gave them the information of where the car was located and the insurance company agreed to get the car from them the following day, At that same day around 10:00pm a man by the name of Dominic called my cellphone asking for my boyfriend who at the time was at work. I told him that he was unavailable and he proceeded to tell me that what our insurance company was doing was illegal. That they could not total out a car over pictures and that the car was repairable. He stated that I should look up regulation 64 (which had nothing to do with what he was reffering too) and inquire that we were being scammed by progressive. He state that my car had not gone over the 70% threshold and that it was only sitting at an estimate of $8400 of repairs. I told him that I would speak to my boyfriend and get back to them in the morning. In the morning I received another call from the manager named Joe stating that I should call progressive on threeway and give them authorization to let the body shop inspect the car, I stated AGAIN that I will return the call once I spoke to my boyfriend. At that time we had decided to release the car to progressive and my adjuster and I called back and spoke to Joe. At that time Joe stated in a very disturbing tone of voice that he would get back to us about the charges and would return our call. Our adjuster stated that he was already made aware of the charges the day before by their receptionist at which the Joe stated that he “had not done the charges himself and now it was a new amount”. Our adjuster and I called Dominic the “owner” in order to assure that we wouldn’t not be over charged. Dominic stated that he did not know who I was and that how could he be so sure that I was the owner of the car and that I was being a fool and that the only way he would release the car was if my boyfriend went down to the shop himself and signed a release form.

Most rip off company ever seen. Do not use for towing. I assume the car repair business is as rip off as towing, should be going out of business because it's ran by bunch of thieves. Terrible!!!

I called these guys when my Charger broke down in NYC. My driver Caesar showed up and took great care of my car. We rode to the dealership and I was more than happy with his driving and care of my car. I don't want to break down again in NYC, but if I do, I have his number saved. Thanks again.

They need to go out of business. I called Geico to set up a service with them at 11 am to tow my vehicle. No word. I called and asked if they were coming and he keeps telling me have to call Geico to give him the information. I kept telling him I already called Geico three times and they kept telling me they sent you guys the info. He starts yelling and cursing at me. What kind of business is this??? And what kind of man yells at a lady like that?! I hope he chokes on his own privates and die.
