I love this place. The staff were very friendly and attentive. My fiancรฉ and I tried the tonkatsu and chicken katsu. We liked the chicken katsu better, it was tender, juicy and crispy. The meals comes with rice, soup, and salad. It was definitely a great experience. I would suggest to come early, or the wait can be up to an hour long.

We waited over an hour to eat here, and it's probably only worth doing that once. We came here too late, so make sure to get here closer to before the restaurant opens or be prepared to wait for an hour or more. The experience was very unique with the grinding of your own sesame seeds. I got the mix katsu set, which gives you an idea of what each kind tastes like. I also got the mixed rice, which has some seafood and veggies in it. The price is worth it as long as you take advantage of the free refills of rice and cabbage.

Very authentic experience, including freshly grounded sesame seeds. The staff is very polite, even apologizing for getting a bigger party that arrived after me a table before me but keeping me in the loop. I shortly got seated in an appropriate sized table.

Food pectacular! Not happy about how they run the reservations. There are none! I think they could do a smoother, better business if had reservations! Also you.sign up on sheet of paper and you HAVE TO HAVE EVERYONE SINGLE PERSON THERE before seating. I don't understand that either! That would make me not go back.

Excellent tonkatsu!! Very tender and tasty. The entire experience from beginning to end, is one you have to try for yourself. Words can't do it justice. My hubby, who has been to Japan many times, says in his opinion it's still not as good as the real Japanese Tonkatsu. He says even the ones at food stands in Japan are better, but this will do as a good substitute since we aren't in Japan. Highly recommend the mixed rice, it's mixed with seafood in it!! Also the Red Miso is SO rich and flavorful! Pay extra for the specialty tonkatsu. It's so tender and it's worth it!!
