  Great cheap drinks, would be 5 stars if not for the knuckle heads sometimes present.

  My friends and I came from out of state (Minnesota), presented our IDs and were denied entry. We range from 23 to 26 years old. Our IDs in Minnesota are flimsy, which I will agree make them seem fake, although they’re not. The “manager”, Carlos, checked our IDs, shaking his head the whole time, got a second opinion, tried to peel one of them?? I put quotes around manager because he told me he’s the manager, but told one of my friends he’s not. So not only were we kicked out with valid IDs, but also lied to. None of us have ever experienced this much trouble. I guess it really is THE OLDEST BAR. Get with the times, Tivoli.

  Let's start by clarifying the five star rating. I rated it five stars because it is everything a historic neighborhood dive bar should be. It is rough and tumble, just the right amount of dirty to make you question your life choices that brought you to their doorstep and yet a wonderful place to grab a beer, or something stronger, and feel part of the fabric of downtown San Diego. Go, spend an hour. You won't regret your visit.

  Nice local shot in the downtown area. They serve food but I've never eaten here our got there too late. They do have karaoke. Indoor/outdoor setting is available. It's kind of small inside and can get crowded fast. All in all a good place to get drinks with friends.
