  I always take my care to Tire Discounters in Newport. They have been very professional and helpful. They keep their warranties and paid me back when I went on vacation last year and had a small problem with the installation of my steering pump. I recently brought my car in because of the same issue with my power steering. They replaced it again (still under warranty), took it for a test drive, and discovered other issues. I knew I had issues, but I didn't know why. They gave me an honest quote and fixed axle. When Ari called me to tell me the work was done, he said he discovered I needed another axle. He replaced that but didn't charge me as he decided to do it on his own. I'm a too-often-customer because my van is older. I really like how everyone there really takes care of their customers, especially if they want us to return.

  In the process of getting 4 tires replaced the back end of my car was damaged. As I brought it to the manager, Ari's, attention he said I was lying because none of his guys said anything about it but was told there are cameras all over the premise so they would at least look over it. After a week of not hearing anything I call Ari was told they only have cameras in the front of each bay and it didn't look like anything hit my car. I then request to see the video footage. Then a gentleman name Rafe called me and said the video is so "grainy" they can't tell one way or another but since no one at the store admitted to anything happening it was not their problem. I still request to see the video and after more weeks of waiting I pick up a flash drive, its empty no video footage at all. I have contacted the corporate office by email twice, no response. I have called the downtown corporate location twice, had to leave a message and still have not received a callback. Terrible customer service at both the Newport location and the corporate office. If you take your car here hopefully the deductible on your insurance isn't too high because tire discounters will take no responsibility for the damage they cause.

  If you want to be over charged and talked down to like you’re an idiot for asking clarifying questions then this is the place for you! I highly recommend working with Chris. Here are some actual quotes from a heart warming conversation I will cherish forever, “This stuff ain’t free, hon”, “This has been a real pain in the butt”, “If you wanna take it somewhere else you can it’s been a real pain in the butt we don’t even wanna touch it.” He made sure to really emphasize that removing a tire was a real pain in the butt. While there were complications with removing the tire (stripped lug nuts, damaged studs, the wheel had to be cut off) they kept the car for four days and charged $350. All while maintaining that sparkling charm. Ari said at one point he could make the car a priority first thing in the morning, on what would be the fourth day, but then called back and said actually it could take 1-2 business days. No one at this location took any proper notes so there was always a different story when calling depending on who you spoke with. When we received our itemized bill there was basically no explanation on how they arrived at $350. Honestly, the worst part was the customer service. I have worked in customer service for many years and if I had talked to a customer the way I was spoken to I could have faced serious consequences. The long wait for the car and the price can be rationalized but there is no reason that I should be called “hon” on the phone in a pejorative way by a man in 2018. If a customer has questions it’s your job to educate them in a respectful manner. My family and friends and the BBB have all been made aware and I know several people who are refusing to do business with this location again because of this and similar experiences.

  This place was amazing and it's all thanks to Lindsey. Dispite being in the middle of the busiest pavilion in Newport, they helped me get 4 new tires painlessly (my front two needed replacement badly because of Cincinnati's beautiful potholes and one of the tires actually had a gash). They showed me all my options and within a day, I got my car back. First time customer and definitely will return here if I ever have an emergency. Thank you!!!

  Incredibly honest and courteous. Wonderfully pleasant and efficient. Modern, clean waiting area. Amazing prices and fast service. Just a really great experience. Who would think that getting one’s tire repaired could help restore one’s faith in humanity?! Highly recommended.
