  Took my girl scout troop here to clean up on Earth day and they had a blast. Our guide was excellent and super nice. They had a learning fun fair that day that was a true blast and the kids learned at the same time!

  I live in Freeport and had the morning to myself. I decided to hit the West End of Jones Beach to enjoy the sun, view and serenity. When driving around I noticed the sign that said Theodore Roosevelt Nature Center. I checked it out. I entered the building and learned about all the free they have available for families with children and then I enjoyed the nature walk around the dunes. I was a picture perfect day. Worth the visit.

  Learning experience was great. Looking at everyone's telescopes was great. Had a great time.

  Beautiful scenery and helpful. Open Labor day through Memorial day, but otherwise you can just walk around and enjoy the nature. Kids digging for bones area, and lots of signs about the natural bird population.
