::Note: I did not go to this location but the other one. However I believe both places will be up to the same standards so I will include my review from the other one. This place went above and beyond my expectations. Every single burger on their menu sounded so good that I was conflicted the entire time on what to pick. I went with the Fat Elvis (burger w/ peanut butter, bacon, and fried plantains) and it was fantastic. Perfectly cooked to my liking (medium), and the toppings went incredibly well with it. They also recommended getting the tater tots over fries, and those were also absolutely fantastic. If I come again, I would want to try the Zombie Apocalypse (burger w/ pulled pork, bacon, and easy over eggs all on Texas toast). If you come through Atlanta, make this a priority visit, BUT NOTE: this is a 21+ only place, so unfortunately kids won’t be able to try it (unless you take stuff to-go).

::The place is weird. Be aware of the explicit content and objects in inside. But a different experience for sure. The Laughing Skull comedy club is pretty decent. The food is really good. Please keep an eye on the vegan options as there aren't many. Also the calorie content should be checked if you are visiting. But the food is absolutely fantastic. Loved the fact they serve tater tots.

::Fantastic. It's 21 and over only. You get ID'd at the door. You have a choice of sitting inside or outside. You get a menu of all their alcoholic beverages, most of which are beer, but there are a number of cocktails and hard liquors to be had. I had a delicious mushroom and Swiss burger and my boyfriend had the "three little pigs". It's pulled pork with bacon and, I think, some ham. It was spicy, but only in the best way. I had a well made Moscow mule and my bf got "dark roast", which was a stout Irish lager with coffee undertones. The service was wonderful. The menus have lots of funny stuff written in them, too. It was just a little pricey, in my opinion. Overall, I give it a 4/5, but I didn't spend any time inside, so your experience inside may differ.

::Good Food!! Great Atmosphere!! Our waitress Karen was funny and sweet and absolutely honest when asked about food on the menus. Open late til 3am... great alternative to Waffle House... my one negative is parking..

::Let's get right to the point: Does the Vortex have the best burgers in Atlanta? Yes. Can you bring the kids (or bring yourself if you are under 21 years old)? No. The Vortex is often rated as having the best burgers, because they do. The Vortex also has excellent service. The restaurant / bar furnishings are very strange and eclectic. This would be a great place to go for a first date, because the food is great, and even if your date is boring, you can still be entertained by looking at all of the interesting stuff on the walls and ceiling. Of course, if you are boring, your date can do the same. My burger was tasty, tender, and cooked as ordered (well-done). I had never eaten tater tots, so the waitress added a couple to my French fries. I prefer the French fries. I thought the prices were very good. The only downside of the Vortex is the age limit. Children love burgers just as much as grown-ups, and I think a children's Vortex would be a huge success. That said, if you're in Atlanta and want the best burger, it's waiting for you at the Vortex.
